Swap out creamy peanut butter fudge for cookies to create these Fudge Peanut Blossoms with a Hershey's Kiss in the middle. They look so much like the real deal that you'll fool all your friends and family.

How real do these Fudge Peanut Blossoms look?

If you didn't see the bite taken out of the soft peanut butter fudge peanut blossom you'd probably have been just as fooled as my friends and family have been. Everyone thinks these are cookies until they take a bite.

I've shared these faux peanut blossoms with many people all of whom have all raved about the flavor. Happily, everyone also loved the clever twist on the classic Christmas cookie.

To make these fudge peanut blossoms look real I scooped and rolled a ball of peanut butter fudge then dipped it in some brown sugar for added crunch and inserted a Hershey's Kiss in the center. As the chocolate kiss goes into the fudge cracks begin to form just like they do as the cookies are baking.

When making these faux peanut blossom cookies, I tested out both my easy microwave peanut butter fudge recipe which is made using peanut butter chips, white chocolate, and peanut butter as well as my buckeye peanut butter fudge recipe which is made using peanut butter, butter and powdered sugar but neither of these fudge recipes worked quite right.

So I experimented with a sweetened condensed milk peanut butter fudge recipe and it worked perfectly! The fudge is firm enough to hold its shape when flattened yet cracks under pressure. Plus it tastes great.
