Ingredients
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 12 - 14 ounces white chocolate chips* (see note)
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
NOTE: If using white confectionery coating chips (no cocoa butter listed in the ingredients) use 12 ounces or 2 cups, if using pure white chocolate (with cocoa butter listed in the ingredients) then use 14 ounces or 2 1/3 cups.
Instructions
  1. Line an 8 inch square pan with non-stick tin foil or parchment paper.

  2. Pop your chocolate chips into the freezer for about 15 minutes, until you are ready to stir them into the cookie dough fudge.

  3. Pour the flour into a microwave safe bowl.

  4. Heat for 30 seconds on high power then stir.

  5. Heat for another 30 seconds then stir.

  6. If you have a thermometer check the temperature of the flour to make sure it has reached 160 degrees Fahrenheit.

  7. If it's not hot enough or just to be safe if you don't have a thermometer, heat for another 15 seconds then stir.

  8. Spread the flour onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet and allow the flour to cool for about 10 minutes.

  9. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

  10. Add the vanilla and milk and beat to combine.

  11. Sprinkle the salt and flour over top and beat just until blended, then set aside.

  12. Combine the white chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk together in a large microwave safe mixing bowl.

  13. Heat in the microwave at 70% power for 80 seconds.

  14. Let the bowl sit in the microwave for 3 minutes before removing and stirring.

  15. Stir the cookie dough into the melted chocolate.

  16. Fold in the chilled chocolate chips.

  17. Pour the fudge into the prepared pan.

  18. Cover and chill for at least 3 hours until firm.

  19. Freeze the fudge for 15 minutes to make it easier to cut.

  20. Remove and peel off the tin foil or parchment paper.

  21. Cut the cookie dough fudge into 36 small squares.

Recipe Notes

Store the fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.

Wrap well in wax paper then overwrap in tin foil then place in a zip top bag or airtight container to store in the freezer for up to 3 months. To thaw, place the fudge in the refrigerator overnight then set the fudge on your counter and allow it to warm to room temperature for about an hour before opening the packaging.
