Delicious, patriotic, easy red, white, and blue fudge for Memorial Day or the 4th of July.
Grease an 8-inch square baking pan or line with non-stick foil. Set aside.
In a large, microwave-safe bowl, place the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Microwave for 90 seconds at 70 percent power. Stir, using the residual heat to melt the chocolate. If necessary, microwave at additional 15 second intervals until the mixture is very smooth.
Divide the mixture into 3 bowls. (I had the most of white, and equal amounts for red and blue.) Add a few drops of red, white, and blue food coloring to each bowl and stir well.
Scrape the blue mixture in the bottom of the baking pan. Top with the white, and finally the red. Use a toothpick to swirl the colors.
Cool for at least two hours or overnight and cut into squares.
TIP: If the fudge starts to thicken before you transfer to the baking pan, heat the bowl in the microwave for 15 seconds at 70 percent power.
